Christians on the Run

The Day the Votes Were Counted

Only the people sacrificed in high places,
because there was no house built
unto the name of the LORD, until those days.
(1 Kings 3:2)

Higher Ground:

Taking Authority over the United States Constitition

No war is won by defensive means only.

Christian America is under attack.

Everything, it seems, is up for grabs: children, morality, livelihoods, rights. Those supposedly in charge of protecting the nation are busy selling it out for a quick buck.

Why is this?

Some would describe it as a judgment from God, for forgetting His ways.

...seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children. (Hosea 4:6)

Deuteronomy 28 tells the story of America, once great but now under a curse.

[A]ll these curses shall come upon thee, and shall pursue thee, and overtake thee, till thou be destroyed; because thou hearkenedst not unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which he commanded thee. (Deuteronomy 28:45)

In fact, much of the Old Testament describes conditions of today:

Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes. (Haggai 1:6)

Thou shalt beget sons and daughters, but thou shalt not enjoy them; for they shall go into captivity. (Deuteronomy 28:41)

The stranger that is within thee shall get up above thee very high; and thou shalt come down very low. He shall lend to thee, and thou shalt not lend to him: he shall be the head, and thou shalt be the tail. (Deuteronomy 28:43-44)

Christians have been on the run for decades, steadily losing ground. Why is it that only a few anti-Christs can overpower the many?

The LORD shall cause thee to be smitten before thine enemies: thou shalt go out one way against them, and flee seven ways before them... (Deuteronomy 28:25)

The Song of Moses, found in Deuteronomy 32, tells us why:

How should one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, except their Rock had sold them, and the LORD had shut them up? (Deuteronomy 32:30)

The LORD sells his people into captivity when they reject Him.

The LORD says: You were sold for nothing, and you will be redeemed without money.(Isaiah 52:3)

Since it's The LORD Who causes the captivity, it only makes sense that the way to get the oppressors off our backs, as well as eliminating the other curses, is to make our ways right with Him.

How can we do that as a nation?

There's a lot of talk about the United States Constitution these days. Some people see it as the problem, others as the solution. Some say it forbids this, while others say it mandates that.

Those who oppose Christ claim it forbids certain worship. Most of those who claim Christ say that it doesn't.

Others opine that if public servants would “just follow the Constitution” all would be well in America.

The Constitution is some kind of god, since it seemingly holds such power.

The Constitution is certainly important. There is a war over who is going to control it. Whoever controls the Constitution can apparently control people.

What is the Christian solution?

Take authority over the Constitution in the name of Jesus Christ.

The plan is simple:

1. Prayer
2. Action

Let us go up at once, and possess it.
(Numbers 13:30)

For a Child is born; to us a Son is given; and the government is on His shoulder; and His name is called Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

There is no end to the increase of His government and of peace on the throne of David, and on His kingdom, to order it, and to sustain it with justice and with righteousness, from now and forever. The zeal of Jehovah of Hosts will do this. (Isaiah 9:6-7)
